Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is based on the principle of cross-friction massage and originates from the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practice of Gua Sha. IASTM allows for quicker and improved outcomes, faster return to function, and improved healing via scar tissue management. These are all crucial needs for optimal recovery within the sport horse population. This course will meet for a duration of 5 days and will largely include hands-on active learning through direct practice.
